Description
Ascent Volcano Sairecabur. The Volcano is a stratovolcano, currently inactive, located northeast of the city of San Pedro de Atacama, on the border between Chile and Bolivia. It contains a 4.5km wide caldera, a crater lake at its summit and young lava flows on its flanks.
It is possible to access from San Pedro de Atacama, through a secondary road to the path that leads to the geysers of Tatio and that allows access to the slopes of the volcano and that allows an ascent Sairecabur Volcano short and expedient from the Southwest.
From the top you can see a beautiful view of the White and Green Lagoons in Bolivia and with a majestic view of the neighboring Licancabur volcano.
