Description
Ruta Lanín Araucarias is a program for the day leaving from the Plaza de Curarrehue.
In the morning, visitors will receive the welcome and presentation by the local guide in the Plaza de Curarrehue. The visit continues with the transfer by vehicle to the Quillelhue lagoon, on the border with Argentina and inside the Villarrica National Park. Here the walk to the Andean lagoons will begin. The trail is an old international pass, of medium difficulty, in which the temperate rainforest, characteristic of this area of the planet, will be crossed.
Around 13:30 hours, you will arrive at the Carilafken lagoon, at the foot of the Lanín volcano or also called Awel Ñamku, the highest summit of the Araucanía (3,747 masl). The local guide will offer the roquiñ or food for the road. From this point you can admire the volcanic beauty of the area enjoying a panoramic view over the neighboring mountain ranges and the source of the Trankurra River. An hour later the return of the trekking will start up to Curarrehue.
