Description
The Huequerhue National Park Trekking is located in the Andes Mountain Range, in the Araucanía Region of Chile, near Caburga Lake. It has an area of 12,500 ha. of mountainous terrain and a range of elevation of between 750 to 2,000 meters above sea level. It was created on June 9, 1967 with the purpose of protecting an area of great scenic beauty.
It has a large number of lagoons and mountain lakes, being the best known: Lake Chico, Lake Verde and Lake Toro, which can be visited on a day trip to the area walking a beautiful trail full of flora and fauna typical of the area, from this trail you can appreciate beautiful views of the Villarrica Volcano and its surroundings.
