Description
The Mini Volcanoes Tour: Located in the vicinity of the ski center of, the Cráteres trail is a very good option to do as a family and enjoy the varied landscape offered by the Villarrica National Park.
Departing for a beautiful tour through a forest dominated by coihues that as you gain altitude give way to the ñirres, the trail offers great views of several lakes in the area such as Villarrica, Huilipilún and Caburgua, all dominated by the great presence of the Villarrica volcano at whose feet the route passes.
The path culminates, after passing through a volcanic scoria, in an area where a series of small and curious parasitic craters have been formed that are well worth visiting. In short, a perfect excursion to do as a family and so witness live the destructive force of a volcano and as nature itself makes efforts to recover after this destruction.
