Trekking lago Leones Patagonia

Thirty kilometers from “Puerto Rio Tranquilo” there is a beautiful sector, called “Rio Leones” (Leones River), named after the river that comes down directly from “Campo de Hielo Norte”, flowing through this river to “Lago Chelenko” (Chelenko Lake). An inspiring journey that connects you with amazing scenes, in addition to the living story of the locals. Abundant forest of “Coihues” and “Lenga”, will be the protagonists of this route, bordering “Rio Leones” , until we reach the lookout of Glaciar Leones (The Leones Glacier), where we will contemplate the immensity of Patagonia in one place. A trip that you should not stop living.

Ininerary

07:50 Puerto rio tranquilo, destination rio león sector.
08:00 departure from base Leones, towards Lago Leones. Group meeting, snack delivery, presentation of the guides, receipt of risk acceptance form. Start of the first part vehicular route.
11:00 end of the vehicular road, beginning of “Lago Leones” trekking route. (we will surround río
león (león river), we will know about the history of this valley, flora and fauna of the place)
13:00 after 2:40 hours of trekking, we arrive at “lago leones” where we contemplate the place, we make a small picnic, we drink “mate”, we take photo graphs and we get ready for the return
(induction of the guide during all the trekking of flora, fauna and local history) stop watch 1 hour.
18:30 return to the campsite, where they await us with a delicious patagonian dinner. we enjoyed an incredible afternoon, a delicious coffee and we finished our tour, to return to puerto rio tranquilo.
